Julia Ahlquist Tanner
Julia has a Masters degree from CSU-Sacramento (1994) and a Doctorate from Salus University (2010). She brings more than 20 years of academic and professional experience in audiology to her role.
She is a member of The American Academy of Audiology, The Academy of Doctors of Audiology, and The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Known as a very kind, calm and caring person, Julia is a firm favorite with all of her patients. Great with people, Julia genuinely cares - she remembers every one of her patient’s names, their birthdays and even their pet’s names!
She really cares about every one of her patients and sees them as if they were a member of her own family. She puts her patients first no matter what. She has been known to work through her lunchtime, give her patients rides home and has often been found working at the office during the weekend. Her dedication really knows no bounds.
Julia is the perfect team player. She loves working with her teammates and is great for encouraging everybody to work to their full potential. She is always supportive of her teammate’s concerns and of the goals they want to achieve. Bringing harmony to the office, she’s the real heart of our team, making it a great place to work, every day she’s there.
- Julia loves outdoor adventures. She enjoyed her summers living and working at YMCA’s Summer Camps when she was younger.
- She now loves spending time immersed in nature in northern Wisconsin and the mountains of Utah.
Hobbies & Passions
Julia’s favorite person to be with is her daughter Betsy. She’s Julia’s biggest supporter and is always there to cheer her on.
Julia loves to go running, cycling, hiking, fly fishing and basically any sports with her friends.
The perfect Saturday for Julia is waking up extra early and going for a run by the river with her dog and a few active friends. After the run, she loves to attend the farmers market and then go home to prepare dinner and set the table.
In her spare time, Julia volunteers as a board member for the CCHAT Center which is a school dedicated to teaching children with hearing disabilities how to listen and improve their speech.
